Youth Program (15–18 Years)
The Boots of Courage Youth Program is a full-day, hands-on experience designed to help teenagers build confidence, independence, and resilience through real-world skills. Inspired by life on Northern Territory cattle stations, this program gives young people the chance to step into a safe but challenging environment where they learn by doing, not just watching.
What to Expect
Over the course of the day, participants will:
Learn practical skills such as changing a tyre, tying rope knots, cracking a stockwhip, shaping a horse shoe, and performing a vehicle pre-start check.
Work in small groups of four students for a personal, hands-on experience.
Develop teamwork and communication skills in a supportive environment.
Gain a deeper sense of resilience, problem-solving, and self-belief.
All activities are guided by experienced instructors, with safety as the number one priority.
Lessons That Last a Lifetime
This program is about more than just learning new skills. It’s about:
Stepping out of your comfort zone
Building resilience when things don’t go to plan
Discovering independence through practical knowledge
Unlocking self-limiting beliefs and seeing what’s possible
Taking pride in effort and persistence
Young people leave with not only new abilities, but also a stronger sense of identity, achievement, and courage that carries into every part of life.
Program Details & Safety
At Boots of Courage, safety and support come first. Each group is kept small (maximum of four students) to ensure personal guidance and plenty of hands-on learning. All sessions are supervised by qualified staff, and Courtney is certified to work with young people. This means every participant has the space to try, make mistakes, and grow in a safe and encouraging environment.
Upcoming program dates are announced on our Facebook and Instagram pages, so be sure to follow us there for the latest updates.
If there are no current events listed, you can still send through an Expression of Interest to be notified about future sessions.
